About This Position
The household and the role
A private family in Greenwich, Connecticut is looking for an exceptional professional nanny and mother’s helper to join their household. The principal is a full-time, hands-on mother to a 15-month-old boy, and she is seeking someone who can work alongside her in a genuine hybrid role, roughly half childcare and half family assistance.
On the childcare side, the family would love someone warm, engaging and deeply experienced with toddlers who can step in with confidence. That includes taking him to activities, preparing his meals, managing naps and routines, playing with him, getting him out of the house, and taking over his care when the principal has appointments, workouts or other commitments.
Equally important is a right-hand person for the day-to-day logistics of family life. Because the principal is very involved with her son, there will naturally be moments when she is with him and needs someone who can independently see what needs doing and take the initiative elsewhere in the home.
Day to day
- Confident, independent care of a 15-month-old, as well as working alongside his mother
- Activities, outings, meals, naps, routines and engaged play
- Managing his meals, laundry, toys, supplies and diaper bag, and preparing for activities and travel
- Household organization, errands, returns, groceries, restocking and packages
- Anticipating what the household needs without waiting for direction
- Traveling with the family, roughly six months of the year

- Warm, loving, energetic and highly experienced with toddlers
- Proactive and comfortable working alongside a hands-on, full-time mother
- Naturally organized, with a sharp eye for what needs to be done
- A confident, safe driver
- Flexible and genuinely comfortable traveling with the family
- Spanish-speaking strongly preferred, so the child has more exposure to the language
- Impeccable references from comparable private households
